After School Tutoring


After school math tutoring is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
    • Students will be notified when tutoring begins for the 2011 - 2012 school year.
    • Math tutoring is from 3:15 to 4pm in room 116.
Students should report to the designated room when dismissed at 3pm.
Students should bring samples of current work and/or be ready to discuss the concept that is troubling them.
Parents are asked to be prompt when picking students up and arrive 5 minutes before the end of the tutoring time. Pick-up is in the front of the building by the main office.



Homework Policy

  • Homework will be assigned most days Mondays through Thursdays.
  • Lesson plans and homework assignments listed below are subject to change due to schedule changes and other unforeseen circumstances that may occur on a given day. Be sure to check homework assignments daily!
  • It is each student's responsibility to make up any missed assignments or tests when they are absent from class.

Absent - No problem!


If you are absent, you can easily keep pace with the rest of the class! Simply find the day that you are absent below and locate the lesson covered that day(s) in class. Click on Holt Lessons to gain access to a lesson video, powerpoint presentation, practice quiz, and practice worksheet of the daily lesson. The Holt lessons are also a great way to gain remediation and reinforcement of the classroom lessons.

All Math students have access to the online text and activities that goes along with their math class. By using the user name and password listed below to log onto the Holt website, students will gain to access the online text to view lesson tutorials along with the many practice activities and tests that go with each lesson. Once logged onto the Holt website, click on the picture of your math text to enter the site.

2. Students will practice constructing word problems for adding integers.

-The class will review pages 619-620, #2-50, even.

-Students will review adding integers and will work in groups to construct word problems for adding integers.

-The class will share their problems and members of the class will solve the problems.

1. Students will be evaluated on their knowledge of adding integers.

-Students will take a quiz on adding integers.

-The remainder of the groups will share their adding integer word problems.

2. Students will use the atlas to introduce and practice map skills.

-Students will be chosen randomly to present their Friday Discovery. Any other students will be given the opportunity to volunteer. All others will be collected.

-Students will work on their atlas packets with an atlas and partners if they like. They can work at their own rate to learn and practice map skills. I will help with any problems individually.
