PRESCHOOL I:

Monday: Teacher presentation on Guides for Working with Children

Tuesday: Complete positive guidance activities and work on selecting project ideas using classroom resources.

Homework: All students need to select and sign up for their project ideas by Sept. 24th. Small group sample and planning sheets are due on Sept. 24th for 3rd and 7th periods.

Wednesday: TEST on Introduction to the Preschool Program materials. Introduce Discipline Unit

Homework: Discipline Observation due Tues. Sept. 21st.

Thursday: Teacher presentation and class notes on Freedom of Expression and Providing Alternatives.

Thursday: Identify and demonstrate Daily Procedures used at preschool. Teacher presentation as handout is discussed and completed.

Small group projects related to Community Helpers are to be completed this week with the children.

 

Tuesday:  High school students complete assigned duties as they supervise the children at the center.

 

Wednesday:  High school students complete assigned duties as they supervise the children at the center.

 

Thursday:  High school students complete assigned duties as they supervise the children at the center.

 

Friday: Review lab experiences.  Identify the four types of development.  Identify typical physical development for the preschool age.

Homework:  Continue observations.  Observation I is due Wednesday Nov, 12th and  Observation II is due Friday Nov. 21st.  

 

 

PRESCHOOL II:

Continue working on assigned projects as independent study.  Remember observations are due this month.  Observation I by Wed. Nov.12th and Observation II by Fri. Nov. 21st.

Next project is due Nov. 21st.  Be sure you are prepared and ready to teach your lesson on your assigned day (see chart at preschool).

 

 

 PRESCHOOL III:

Continue your elementary classroom lab experiences.  You will begin your new classroom on Monday Nov. 10th.  Remember your days will change since you will be at a new school.

PRESCHOOL I:

Monday: Demonstrate ability to utilize correct communication skills and apply positive guidance/discipline techniques with the children at the Center.  Complete assigned duties as listed on the schedule sheet posted at the Center.

Weekly concept:  Fall Season

Small group projects related to Fall Season are to be completed this week with the children.

Wednesday: High School students complete assigned duties as they work with the preschool children.

Thursday: High School students complete assigned duties as they work with the preschool children.

Friday: Review lab experiences. 

 

PRESCHOOL II:  Complete assigned projects as independent study.

Next project is due Nov. 7th

 

PRESCHOOL III:  Complete assigned projects as independent study.  Continue elementary classroom lab work and journal writings.
