DAY 1 –Due to alter in last week schedule, we will view the movie Musical Minds this week. View and Discuss- Journal Entry in response to the movie.

DAY 2 –Guest Speaker – Child and Youth Services

DAY 3- Games to stimulate babies

FOOD SCIENCE

DAY 1 – Soda pop comparisons- Does color affect taste sense

DAY 2 – Lab take down and clean

DAY 3 –Lab shut down and clean

TMS

This week we will work to complete the pillowcase project. Any student whom completes the project early will be able to choose a scrap project from the list in class.

UNDERSTANDING CHILDREN

MONDAY- Children’ books are due today. Evaluation of book with given rubrics.

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY- Reading children book to the class. Evaluation from peers.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY- Video- Musical Minds- Understanding how music plays a role in brain development and therapy for children with disabilities.

FOOD SCIENCE

MONDAY- Pizza Cook –Off---Computer Lab 150 search for the most appealing homemade pizza dough and sauce recipe.

TUESDAY- Prepare grocery order for pizzas and read the history of pizza.

WEDNESDAY- Prepare pizza dough and sauce.

THURSDAY- Bake and evaluate pizzas. Vote on the best according to taste buds.

FRIDAY-Soda comparisons. Does color change taste sensations.

MAGIC YEARS

MONDAY- Discussion of postpartum depression. Plan ways you could help someone whom is suffering.

TUESDAY- Choosing babies names. Computer Lab

WEDNESDAY- What makes a babies environment stimulating?

THURSDAY- Keeping Infant safe and well. Complete chart.

FRIDAY- Tracking infant development

TMS 7TH GRADE FCS

MONDAY-FRIDAY

We will be working on our pillowcase projects, following the given pattern for completion.

- Cut 26 ½ x 41 inch square

- Cut 10 x 41 strip of fabric

- Join short ends of print No 1 – 10 x 41 strip to make a loop. Press seam open

- Fold loop in half with wrong side inside, press to make pillowcase band.

- Fold print No 2 -261/2 x 41 rectangle. Sew together long edges and one short edge to make pillowcase body. Turn right side out and press flat.

- Matching raw edges, slide pillowcase band over pillowcase body; pin. Sew together all layers.
