Physical Education-periods 6, 7.

2-6-12 thru 2-10-12. Students will be participating in games of eclipse ball and riding the stationary bikes. Each group will play 7 minutes games then rotate to another activity. Students will demonstrate proper sportsmanship and be actively involved during the games.

Health-1, 2, 3, and 4.

2-6-12. Students will be divided into small groups and we will have a discussion on problems that most teens face. Each group will have to come up with 5 problems and have 3 solutions for each problem. Explain why problem solving is an important skill.

2-7-12. Watch video, Twice Pardoned. Explain why problem solving is an important skill. Each class will have to write one I will statement and the end of each class this week. The statement should be about any change they could make about their attitude or behavior that would help improve the quality of their lifestyle now or in the future.

2-8-12. Students will demonstrate how to develop a mind map. Each student will draw up a mind map using the information from their text book on page 51. Students will also have to write a problem statement and use the Ideal problem solving method to come up with solutions to their problem.

2-9-12. Students will be given a scenario to discuss in small groups. They will have a choice between Weighing the risks or What's the problem. Both scenarios have discussion questions and a short essay suggestion for each student to complete. Students will also be given a wellness plan to complete for chapter 3.

2-10-12. Students will take the chapter 3 test on problem solving. All chapter 3 assignments are due at this time.
