• Students will identify the differences between serif and sans serif text
• Students will review serif and sans serif text with an in-class activity (type 10 serif and 10 sans serif fonts) Due at the end of class
WEDNESDAY
• Students will investigate new features in MS Word 2007 PC
• Students will create two business letters using specific types of fonts
THURSDAY
• Review typography: Serif/Sans Serif
• Students will investigate new features in MS Word (New Document types)
• Students will create a letter using indents; specific bullets and fonts (Creative Services NY)
FRIDAY
• Students will explore technology during ‘Technology Fridays’
MICROSOFT OFFICE
MONDAY
• Labor Day – No School
TUESDAY
• Students will investigate using MS Windows (OS, user interface, starting w/Parallels, starting programs, folder windows, Command Bar, Windows)
WEDNESDAY
• Students will investigate using MS Windows (Online-URLs, open/close tabs, Folders, removable devices/network drives, using WordPad pg win 44-win 51)
THURSDAY
• Students will investigate using MS Windows (using Help and Support)
• Download Word 2007 Chapters 1-3 Data Files (p win 72)
• Create/update necessary folders for this course

• Students will explore technology during ‘Technology Fridays’

• Have students warm up with 2D and 2E on page 6
• Have students complete Lesson 3, each line 2x (teacher led instruction)
WEDNESDAY
• Have students warm up with 1H page 4; 2D page 6, and 3E page 8 – 2x each
• Have students complete Lesson 4, each line 2x (teacher led instruction)
THURSDAY
• Have students warm up with 4C page 9 4E page 10 – 2x each
• Have students complete Lesson 5, each line 2x (teacher led instruction)
FRIDAY
• Have students warm up with 5C page 11 and 5E page 12 – 2x each
