DRAWING I ALL WEEK STUDENTS ARE CONTINUING TO MAKE DIAGRAMS OF THE RULES OF LINEAR

Windows, doors, arches and thickness of all listed

Adding objects or lettering to the surface of a wall

Interior spaces in 2 pt. per. Rules for all concepts applied to exterior surfaces.

Accenting the flat plane of the floor and changing any flat surface.

Practice all the concepts covered and present a slide show of the final project on Friday.

PAINTING I introduce by demonstration the wet in wet method of painting.

Introduce the warm cool color concept as used by the Impressionists’ and demonstrate the technique used for Impressionism. Hopefully by Friday.

ART CLUB All students wishing to join the art club should be signed up and have dues paid by Thursday. Sign up and permission slips are in room 211 for the field trip on September 15, [Wednesday] to the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh. There are at least 40 seats available on the bus. Members will be given the available sweats according to when they have the dues and the $7 fee for the trip along with the signed permission slip returned to Ms. Coursey in room 211. All $ and permission slips need to be returned by Friday, September 10. We will be having other trips as usual, but the timing on this is short because the show we are going to see will be gone by Sept. 19.
