Pds. 1,2,4 and 5
Mon.- Fri -- Students will participate in games of Eclipse ball in the small gym. Small teams will be formed and they will play a round robin format. All rules and regulations wil be explained and demonstrated on Mon.
When students are not playing eclipse ball they will be riding the stationary mountain bikes.
HEALTH pds. 7 and 8
Mon.- Quiz on chapter 2. Continue problem solving (chapter 3). Have the students read and answer the questions for scenario 3-2 "What's the Problem?"
Tues- Students will complete the chapter 3 wellness plan
Weds. Complete the study guide for chapter 3 for test on Fri.
Mon.- review the study guide for chapter 3. Begin chapter 4 on Communication. Do the personal assessment on communication style. Discuss encoding and decoding when communicating and how conflicts and misunderstandings happen from poor communication skills.
Tues- Test on chapter 3
Weds. - Discuss "I" messages vs "you" messages and how conflicts arise when people use "you" messages. have the students work in groups to change th wording in the "you " statement worksheet. They may work in groups.
Thurs. - Discuss communication styles. have the students break up into groups and they each have a communication style to read about and report back to the class. Then have the students break up into smaller groups and they create a skit that involves all the comunication styles.
Fri - students work on skits if they still need time and thenbegin to perform their skits. The other students will identify the communication styles
